@emmanuelduverneau’s Spicy Sausage Rolls with Rao’s Homemade Pizza Arrabbiata Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork, preferably 80% lean

1/4 cup Rao’s Homemade Pizza Arrabbiata Sauce
- 1/2 medium onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 3 sage leaves finely chopped
- 2 premade puff pastry sheets about 13x10 inches
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp oil

Directions
In a pan over medium heat add oil and sauté the garlic, onions, and sage until onions are translucent (about 4-5 minutes). Set aside.
In a bowl add ground pork, salt, pepper, Rao’s Homemade Pizza Arrabbiata Sauce, all seasonings, one egg, and onion mixture.
Mix until well combined.
Add to a piping bag and set aside.
Sprinkle countertop with flour and open puff pastry dough.
Cut the pastry dough in half horizontally and using the piping bag, squeeze the sausage onto the dough.
Add more Rao’s Homemade Pizza Arrabbiata Sauce on top.
Whisk the egg in a bowl and brush on all sides of the pastry dough.
Roll the pastry over until it makes a long tube and make sure the seam side is facing downward.
Cut the pastry into 8 equal pieces.
Brush the top with more egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes and serve with the side of Rao’s Homemade Pizza Arrabiata Sauce. Enjoy!
