@rappingchef’s Baked Ziti with Rao's Homemade Caramelized Onion Sauce

Ingredients
- 1lb Italian Sausage

24oz Raos Homemade Caramelized Onion Sauce
- 15oz Ricotta Cheese
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1/4c Parmesan (grated)
- 1/4c Half & Half

1 bag Rao’s Homemade Rigatoni
- 16oz Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
- 1tbs Basil (chopped)
- Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions
- Bring pot of salted water to a boil and add in Rao’s Homemade Rigatoni. Cook until al dente.
- In a separate large pot over medium-high heat, brown Italian sausage. Salt and pepper to taste.
- Once sausage is cooked, pour in entire jar of Rao’s Homemade Caramelized Onion Sauce, mix and simmer on low for 10 minutes.
- Add ricotta cheese to a bowl along with 1 beaten egg, half & half, parmesan, salt & pepper, mix together. Remove pasta from water and mix with meat sauce.
- In a 9x13 baking dish, layer ziti as follows. Rao’s Homemade Caramelized Onion + meat sauce + Rao’s Homemade Rigatoni, a few dollops of ricotta cheese mix, mozzarella. Repeat.
- Top with additional Rao’s Homemade Caramelized Onion Sauce, ricotta cheese mix, leftover mozzarella cheese and basil. Cover and bake on 350 for 30 minutes.
