The velvety sauce, infused with real Parmesan and a hint of black pepper, adds depth and indulgence to every bite. Served sliced and topped with the warm, creamy sauce, this dish delivers an elevated, restaurant-quality experience at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ pounds flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced (1 cup)
  • 1 red, yellow or orange bell pepper, thinly sliced (1 ½ cups)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 jar (24 oz.) Rao’s Homemade® Creamy Peppered Parmesan Sauce
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 300° F. Pat the steak dry and season generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a 12-inch skillet. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes per side or until a golden-brown sear forms. Transfer the steak to a rimmed baking sheet, cover loosely with foil and place in the oven. Check for doneness after 5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 135-145° F for medium-rare. Remove from oven and let steak rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
  3. Meanwhile in the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon oil, add the onion and pepper and sauté for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally and cooking until the vegetables are softened. Stir in the Rao’s Homemade Creamy Peppered Parm Sauce and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Slice the steak against the grain. Serve sliced steak on a platter with the sauce spooned over. Garnish with parsley.

Tips

Serve with grilled broccolini, whipped potatoes and crusty bread.
